The VJO is proud to present a night of music by the legendary trumpeter/composer, Thad Jones featuring renown NYC trumpeter, Jeremy Pelt. Long-time arranger for the Count Basie band, Thad went on to co-lead the Grammy Award-winning Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, one of the most influential big bands since the swing era. As swinging as it is exciting and soulful, the music of Thad Jones is an absolute joy to experience.
