A Trip to The BAG

Celebrate your Easter through the eyes of Karin Jones, a Vancouver-based interdisciplinary artist with a background in jewellery. Her exhibition “Ornament and Instrument” is running from February 3 – April 16 at Burnaby Art Gallery. One of her pieces is Worn, on loan from the Royal Ontario Museum, is a Victorian mourning dress crafted from synthetic hair, evoking the complexity of African identity shaped by colonial displacement, slavery and oppression.
