Burnaby Village Museum
Take a trip back in time to the 1920’s at one of Burnaby’s favourite themed attractions and museums. Walk through the village and meet the costumed townsfolk, visit the old homes, businesses like the Blacksmith, and shops like the General Store. And don’t forget to take a ride on the Carousel and make a pitstop at the Ice Cream Parlour!

Talk about a throwback. Glenburn Sofa Fountain transports you back to a simpler time, with their nostalgic hand-made desserts and confections, including sundaes, splits, milkshakes, and malts. You can find this vintage-inspired shop in the whimsical boutique-style shopping district of Burnaby Heights.

Burnaby Mountain Conservation Area
Explore Burnaby Mountain, whether it be a vigorous hike, leisurely stroll or a heart-pumping bike ride, here are 26 multi-use trails to choose from. The park includes a picnic area, playground, and several large wooden sculptures, known as Kamui Mintara (or Playground of the Gods), to wander between. Tip: Check the weather and dress accordingly.

Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre
The Nikkei Centre serves Japanese Canadians across the country as an important resource for other communities to learn about the Japanese Canadian experience through public programming, events, and exhibits. Fronted by a beautiful Japanese and Canadian garden maintained by the Vancouver Japanese Gardener’s Association. Closed Sunday, Monday & Stat. Holidays.

Symphony in the Park – July 15
For over 30 years, Symphony in the Park has been a summer favourite. This free, outdoor concert features the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performing exceptional symphonic music surrounded by the beauty of Burnaby’s Deer Lake Park, on Saturday, July 15th from 7:30pm – 9:30 pm.
This year’s performance will transport listeners to other worlds, whether it’s the story of British spy, an adventure through another galaxy or the tale of a young wizard.
