We’ve rounded up six Metro Vancouver bakeries and pie shops that are serving up decadent and unique cakes, tarts, cookies, and more. Catering to an array of dietary restrictions? We’ve sourced some gluten-free and dairy-free options for you as well!

Cakes n Sweets

This holiday season, Cakes n Sweets in Coquitlam will be offering gingerbread people cookies, gingerbread cupcakes, chocolate orange cupcakes, chocolate mint christmas tree cupcakes, christmas sugar cookies, red and green meringues, biscotti and ginger snap cookies.

Find Cakes n Sweets just two  blocks west of Coquitlam Centre Mall, pop in for your holiday sweets or call in to order.

Purebread

Mount Pleasant, Gastown, Kitsilano
Near Waterfront SkyTrain station.

Purebread is truly a heavenly utopia for anyone with a sweet tooth. This year, Purebread has a bounty of goodies available to order, with everything from traditional mince tarts, shortbread, gingerbread men, our famous chubbie nuts, sweet & spicy sugar nuts, raspberry white chocolate granola.

Here’s a detailed look at one of the items available for order:

Yule Log (available to order for 23rd & 24th December); $45
A light chocolate sponge, rolled with whipping cream icing and raspberry rhubarb puree, enrobed in chocolate buttercream, finished with edible star & berry decorations, & glistening sanding sugar.

Festive Coconut Cake; $60
A deliciously dense, coconut buttermilk sponge layered, generously covered with cream cheese icing, finished with hand decorated gingerbread car and  rosemary pine trees.

Caramel Gingerbread Cake; $55
Two layers of gingerbread sponge sandwiched with salted caramel buttercream and finished with candied ginger and a touch of rosemary.

Christmas Chocolate Baileys Cake; $55
Two layers of devil’s food chocolate cake with dark chocolate curls and star decoration.

Purebread Christmas gift boxes; $35
A selection of our specialty Christmas baked goodies; four traditional mince tarts, four nana’s shortbread (a family recipe!), four pecan melting moments and three hand-decorated gingerbread men packaged together in a festive red box.

Although this generous selection of treats is available at every location, Purebread recommend pre-ordering at least 48 hours in advance to be sure you’ll get the items you need.  Last orders for Christmas will be 22nd December.

Lemonade Bakery

If you or one of your loved ones eat gluten-free, Lemonade is a wonderful option for celiac-safe, delicious baked goods. Bring some Lemonade treats to your next holiday gathering: those who are gluten-free will thank you, those who aren’t won’t be able to tell the difference.

Gingerbread House Kit; $25 for kit
Build this gluten-free Gingerbread House with the whole family. Your kit includes house pieces, two gingerbread people, royal icing, piping bags, and gold board to build house on and as well as instructions.

Sold in-house or same-day orders only. Gingerbread pieces egg/dairy-free, icing contains egg white.

Stollen; $15 each
A slightly sweetened German Fruit bread with dried fruit and marzipan, best served warm. Contains eggs, dairy and nuts.

Beaucoup Bakery & Café

This bustling Fairview spot is packed with exceptional French-inspired pastries, cakes, seasonal treats, and nostalgic cookies.

This holiday season pre-order 16 piece or 8 piece boxes with an assortment of Hojicha Toffee Walnut Snowballs, Yuzu Fennel Wreaths, and Baci di Dama for $35.

Pre-orders are accepted before December 20.

A Bread Affair

The Bread Affair wants to help you get your party on this holiday season…with their Party Boxes!
