As someone who talks to restaurant owners and hospitality workers regularly, it’s tough to see how much the last year has negatively affected them. But it’s also been inspiring to see so many of them do their best to thrive, and at the same time, have the community rally around the businesses they love.

It’s been a long year, but thankfully, there’s a lot of positivity coming out of the struggle. President of The BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association, Ian Tsotenson, shares the outlook that with the continued dedication so many have already shown, we’ll get through the final stages of this, and the industry will be back stronger than ever.

The Tourism Industry Association of BC’s new video series, “Know Before You Go” is a great resource for how restaurants are ensuring the safety of their guests and staff.

Here’s hoping that we’ll be back to making reservations sooner than later, and that (fingers crossed) we get to keep all these outstanding patios as well!
