We’re living in uncertain times, and local businesses and eateries are taking hits as people rush to grocery stores to stock up for the future. Never fear, your fix of comfort food or things you just can’t make at home is just a phone call or online order away. Here are some restaurants in Burnaby, New Westminster and Richmond that are open for pick-up, take-out or delivery.

New Westminster
Kozak Ukranian Eatery 444 Sixth Street
Homestyle Ukrainian food such as cabbage rolls and borscht, with vegan options available. Open from 9 am to 9 pm for takeout and delivery only. Visit Kozakeatery.ca to place your order for pickup, or get scheduled delivery Tuesday and Saturday.
Pacific Breeze Winery 320 Stewardson Way
New Westminster’s only garagiste winery is open from Thursday to Saturday for any wine pick up needs. They’re closed Sunday to Wednesday for this week, but you can still order online at pacificbreezewinery.com and request a pickup time. The spot will soon be offering free local deliveries!
Big Star Sandwich Company 664 Columbia Street
Just want your favourite comfort food, stuffed to the max with all the trimmings? A Big Star Sandwich is just an order away. Open reduced hours from 11 am to 5 pm each day, for delivery only.
Boston Pizza 1045 Columbia Street
Special bundles are available for your pizza and other food needs when you order online at bostonpizza.com. They’re open daily for take out and delivery from 11 am to 10 pm, offering a $0 delivery fee and 15 per cent off pick-up orders.
Bruncheria 656 Columbia Street
Craving brunch? Bruncheria is open everyday from 9 am to 2 pm for take-out, pick-up and delivery. Order online at bruncheria.cafe
Cockney Kings 130 – 66 Tenth Street
English-style fish & chips and other seafood available for take-out only. “In an effort to keep our wonderful customers fed, we will remain open for take out until further notice,” they wrote. In order to “still serve you the best fish & chips in town,” Cockney Kings will also offer car service, bringing your take-out order and a wireless debit machine to your car. Place your order by phone at 604-522-6099 with your phone number and license plate number.
De Dutch 102-1035 Columbia Street
Closed for dine-in, De Dutch continues to be available via SkipTheDishes during their regular hours (7 am to 3 pm) or by phone at 604-521-2288 for pick up. Lunch, brunch or breakfast available for you with homemade soup and gluten-free menu options.
Hive Cafe 609 Front Street
Get your artisan coffee fix as usual, but take it to go. This local cafe’s indoor seating is closed, but they’re still serving take-out orders. At this time, they prefer card transactions, and they note that washrooms will be closed to the public.
Hyack Sushi 55 8th Street
A mix of traditional and experimental Japanese cuisine and sushi. The spot is open for business, but stay tuned for opening hours updates. Available for take-out or delivery only.
Kelly O’Bryans & Carlos O’Bryans 800 Columbia Street
Pub-style food–and don’t forget the drinks! Delivery and take-out can include bottles & cans of beer, wine and cider all alongside classic Kelly O’Bryan dishes such as McCraken Rolls & Pachos! Call to order.
Patsara Thai 528 Carnarvon Street
Dine in, take out and delivery still available for this traditional Thai food spot. Delivery everyday from 5 to 9 pm, free with a minimum $30 order.
Pizzeria Ludica 601 Carnarvon Street
The New West Ludica remains open for take-out, though with more limited hours. Opening 5 pm everyday and closing hours based on busy-ness, this spot will do take-out, or delivery via Door Dash and Skip The Dishes.
Poke Bar 372 800 Carnarvon Street
Fresh, raw fish with salad, rice, or vegetable noodles is still available for your pescatarian lifestyle. Closed for dine-in but offering take-out and third party delivery services. As a bonus, they are now offering 20 per cent off to all take-out orders placed through Poké Bar app or online at www.ilovepokebar.ca.
Wild Thyme 705 12th Street
Fresh, Lebanese favourites like fattoush and flatbreads are available via Wild Thyme’s pick-up window. Owner Marwan Kanj has reduced the spot’s staff to three (including himself) to enhance social distancing, and also guaranteeing that the credit/debit terminals are sanitized before and after each transaction. Open Tuesday to Saturday 5 – 8:30 pm; Sunday 4 – 8 pm. Call (778) 917-9894 to order.
Steel and Oak Brewing Co. 1319 Third Avenue
Local, craft brews available in cans and bottle to-go from 11:30 am to 7 pm daily, as well as next-day delivery.
The Hide Out Cafe 716 Carnarvon Street

Despite its name, you can get a whole lot more than sandwiches here. This Vietnamese-French eatery is offering up pho soup, appetizers and, of course, Bahn Mi for pick-up or delivery via their website banhmitresbon.ca. $50 minimum delivery, $5 flat rate across Richmond.
