Welcome back to Burnaby Village Museum!

A cherished tradition is returning to Burnaby Village Museum, and it’s set to illuminate the holiday season with joy and festive cheer. Heritage Christmas, presented by Concord Pacific, officially kicked off on November 25 and will continue spreading holiday magic until January 5. This enchanting event transforms the 10-acre complex near Deer Lake Park into a winter wonderland, making it one of the most beautiful spots in Burnaby during this special time of year.

What is it?

Visitors to Heritage Christmas can look forward to a myriad of delightful activities and attractions. Live entertainment, captivating scavenger hunts, and breathtaking light displays are just a glimpse of what awaits families at this festive extravaganza. For those seeking a truly magical experience, there’s an opportunity to capture a cherished photo with Father Christmas on select dates.

What to expect?

One of the highlights of Heritage Christmas is the special tree lighting ceremony for Bright in Burnaby, scheduled for December 2 at 6 pm. This heartwarming event not only adds to the festive atmosphere but also supports those in need during the holiday season. All proceeds from carousel rides between 5 and 9 pm on this date will go to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau. To double the joy, Concord Pacific has pledged to match all donations, ensuring that the community comes together to make a meaningful impact.

Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley expressed his excitement, stating, “Burnaby is a wonderful place all year round, but our community truly shines brightest during the holiday season. For so many families, visiting Heritage Christmas is part of the magic of the holidays, and it’s even more special when we can support those in need as well.”

What’s the admission fee?

Admission to Heritage Christmas is free, allowing families to immerse themselves in the festive spirit without any barriers. Carousel rides are available for $2.52 plus tax, offering an extra dash of merriment for those seeking a classic holiday experience.
