Scott de Savoye

Scott is a 34-year hospitality veteran who has lead teams large and small in both Canada and the United States. Scott’s experience was garnered in every “class” of hotel; upper-mid-scale to upscale to luxury.

His hospitality journey includes a variety of markets, including major urban centres (Toronto, San Francisco, Calgary, Ottawa), suburban areas (Markham, greater New York City) airport locations (YVR, YYC, YYZ), resorts and spas (Whistler, Muskoka, Harrison Hot Springs) and mixed-use hotel/condominium properties.
Scott is a firm believer that a workplace should be a “sanctuary from life”, meaning that a workplace that is fun, rewarding, and inclusive can be an enjoyable break from life, which of course is not always as smooth and predictable as a workplace.

Scott is constantly amazed at all that Burnaby has to offer, for both residents and visitors alike, and loves working in Burnaby for the variety of activities, world-class attractions, the diversity of the residents and the always expanding (and constantly improving) sense of community spirit.

Fun fact: Scott has played guitars for over 40 years and even made a little money at it in his early 20’s… although he was very sure to never quit his day job!
