I attended the annual Sport Event Congress in Winnipeg from March 13 to 15. The event, graciously hosted by Tourism Winnipeg, Tourism Manitoba, and Sport Tourism Canada, was a resounding success, yielding valuable takeaways, learnings, and connections.
During the congress, I engaged in over 17 one-on-one meetings with National Sport Organizations, securing promising leads for future events in Burnaby and sharing exciting facility projects.
Chris also attended the PRESTIGE Awards luncheon on the final day of the conference, where I was nominated for the Rising Star of the Year Award by Sport Tourism Canada. We are thrilled to announce that I was the winner of the award.
