Meet in Burnaby Update

A short update on all things Meet in Burnaby:

Go West Live, Edmonton

Our efforts in the last quarter of 2023 are showing results in Q1 of 2024. Jazz at the Bolt opens in February, The BCNPHA annual conference is coming to the Hilton and we are awaiting signed contracts on a few other meetings.
2024 started off with a trip to Edmonton and the GoWest Conference, joined by the sales team from The Delta, Hilton and Element we showcased our City to the hundreds of Meeting planners in attendance.  Next up was a trip to Ottawa for Ottawa meet week and Destination Direct Canada where again great connections were made with some of the countries brightest meeting planners.
2024 will continue to see growth and a high demand for hotel rooms and exhibit space and we will continue to share the Burnaby story.

As the year comes to a bustling close, our Business Development efforts have been on the move, attending the TEAMS conference in October, followed by the CSAE conference in Montreal, and now en route to the PCMA CIC conference in Saint John NB. The interest in hosting events in Burnaby has been exceptional, and planning for 2024 is in full swing with a strategic focus on fewer but more targeted events. Kicking off the new year, we’re thrilled to announce our participation in GoWest at the end of January, accompanied by three dedicated hotel partners. With high expectations, 2024 is poised to be another fantastic year.
