After breakfast take to Hastings street and explore all the Heights has to offer.

Pop in to The Gray Olive Cafeteria and grab a coffee to go for the journey.
If you have time, we advise stopping by Chez Christophe even to just get a glimpse at their hand-made sweet treats – amazing! Of course once you see them you will have to purchase some for it’s hungry work all this exploring.

Check out Playground of the Gods
Kamui Mintara (Playground of the Gods) which sits atop Burnaby Mountain is a series of sculptures with incredible views over the greater Vancouver area. Created by Japanese sculptors Nuburi Toko and his son, Shusei, these works of art commemorate the goodwill between Burnaby and its sister city, Kushiro, Japan. Not to be missed when visiting.

Hike, Bike or Stroll
Set off on a vigorous hike, a leisurely stroll, or a heart-pumping bike ride. A network of 26 multi-use trails covering 28 kilometers criss-crossing the 596 hectares within Burnaby Conservation Area. These trails are perfect for beginners, advanced hikers, and cyclists.

Centennial Rose Garden
Did you know theres a beautiful hidden gem atop Burnaby Mountain? A rose garden – Over 900 thorn-decked bushes laden with glorious, wonderfully fragrant buds.

Deer Lake Park
The meandering trails of Deer Lake Park provide endless opportunities for exploration. Numerous great trails, including a lakefront boardwalk and a more adventurous woodland route. Between local wildlife, gorgeous landscape and the floral wonderland of the century gardens you may even get that insta-worthy shot!

Deer Lake Boat Rentals
Located on the south-eastern side of the lake, Deer Lake Boat Rentals have a wide variety of kayaks, rowboats, peddle boats and canoes that you can rent by the hour. Perfect evening out!

Hart House
Since your already at Deer Lake you’d be crazy not to pop into Hart House for a dinner to remember in this historic home. Not only amazing food but also amazing views of Deer Lake and the Burnaby skyline from their garden. We would nearly go as far to say that it’s Burnaby’s best patio – now you have to visit!
