The 2023/24 Senior Club Season promises to be an exhilarating journey filled with camaraderie, competition, and unforgettable moments on the field, with all roads leading to the 2024 BC Rugby Senior Club Finals on May 4, 2024.

Featuring eight provincial finals from BC Rugby’s Senior Club Leagues, including Championship matches for the BC Rugby Men’s Premier League presented by ONNI and the BC Rugby Women’s Premier League, the action will be split across three fields as the flagship end-of-season celebration makes an exciting return to the BC Rugby calendar.

As Captain of the first Gold Medal winning American Women’s Hockey Team, current Vancouver Canucks Assistant GM and one of the first women inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, Cammi Granato takes pride in bringing girls hockey to center stage. The Cammi Granato Showcase strives to inspire female athletes through the power of sport.

FORMAT
· Round Robin followed by Single Elimination.
· Round Robin – 1 game to 15 win by 2 (no cap).
· Quarter Final and Semi Final – 1 game to 15 win by 2 (no cap).
· Bronze Medal matches – 1 game to 15 win by 2 (no cap).
· Gold Medal matches – best 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2 (no cap)

Rowing BC is looking forward to hosting this regatta on the 2000m Burnaby Lake course

The Rowing BC Provincial Championships Regatta exists to:
Provide a pinnacle event for Junior and Senior athletes in the Summer
Create an excellent competitive racing opportunity
Prepare crews to attend the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in August
Identify athletes for Team BC performance support
Establish pre-ranking Team BC list for 2023 National Rowing Championships

This regatta will include championship-level competition in the following event categories:
U17 Men’s and Women’s 1x, 2x, 4x
U19 Men’s and Women’s 1x, 2x, 2-, 4x, 4+
Open (Senior) Men’s and Women’s 1x, Lwt 1x, 2x, Lwt 2x, 2-, 4x, 4-, Lwt 4-, 8+
Para Men’s and Women’s PR1 1x, PR2 1x, PR3 1x, PR3 2x, PR3 2-
When placing entries, look for the overall cateogry (ex. “Men’s 1x”) then choose the appropriate division for your entry from within the options (ex. “Men’s 1x” Division = U19). This will ensure your entry is categorized appropriately both for race progressions and final standings.

Sprint canoe kayak is about speed on flatwater. Strength, technique, endurance and raw speed combine in this Olympic discipline. Sprint paddling can be enjoyed by everyone; kids as young as five and Masters paddlers into their 80s all have fun on the water. Sprint involves the entire body, including the legs pushing and pulling to generate power with the stroke.

Sprint racing takes place on a straight course divided in lanes, on calm water. The distances recognized for international races are 200m, 500m, and 1000m. Each boat has its own designated lane, except for races exceeding 1000m, where there also may be turning points. One, two and four person canoes and kayaks are used.

Burnaby Lake Run is an annual running carnival that dedicates to introduce happiness and health and bring our community together, meanwhile to support our local charity for goodwill. This year, we are continuously running for health and supporting Burnaby Hospital Foundation to improve our community health infrastructure.
Our celebration this year features 10K and 5K individual races. We are proud to introduce 1.8K kids race this year. Also we have 1.8K kids fun run for families and friends. Family festival will follow the runs. Enjoy the foods, games, and performance!
