Over nine years, the Burnaby Festival of Learning has brought the community together to learn from each other and enrich each other’s lives. Every year, one thing becomes clearer and clearer: community learning is powerful.
Where folks in our community come forward to share their knowledge, voices, traditions, and truths, honouring the land we’re on as our “classroom”, honouring the places we’re from for the wisdom they’ve given us.
2024’s Connect Fest invites you into an exploration of story, where we share our wisdom, voices, traditions, and truths, acknowledging the land and places that shape our experiences. Burnaby is a place saturated with stories. Stories of so many people—newcomers, immigrants, students, refugees, First Peoples, settlers—finding, stewarding, or defending their place in this evolving, vital, and dynamic city. Join us as we explore stories of place at this year’s Connect Fest, April 26-30th, 2024! We have so much to learn from each otherly.

They will have high performance athletes, acrobats, birds of prey, dancers, professional fashion models, an equestrian rider with her mount, a vintage automobile on hand, lit with the latest cinematic lighting equipment in the market. You just have to show up and shoot!
Members of Sony’s Pro Support Team and local Sony Pros will be on hand to facilitate the event and answer your questions about our amazing line of imaging gear.
