Over 25% of the city is parkland and included in that list are outdoor pools, spray pads and wading pools, perfect for picking up lunch and letting the kids cool down. Robert Burnaby Park Pool

An outdoor swim is a perfect addition to any summer day. It is a great way to burn off some energy while cooling down. If you are looking to take a dip, Burnaby has four outdoor pools for you to visit. All of the pools are located in beautiful, scenic parks, surrounded by stunning views of nature.

Currently, reservations are required, with priority given to Burnaby residents. Please double-check the website for up-to-date operating hours.

Spray Pads

Perfect for kids (or kids at heart), Burnaby’s eight push-button spray pads let you cool down quickly. It’s fun, free, doesn’t require swimming skills, and best of all, parents get to stay dry! All spray parks (except for Cameron Park) are open from 9 am- 9 pm, so there is never a wrong time to visit.  Our tip? Pick up take-out from one of Burnaby’s excellent restaurants and dine al fresco at the park! Find the spay parks here:

Wading Pools

In between and pool and a spray pad, Burnaby has ten wading pools for your enjoyment.  These free pools open up starting July 1st. At only a couple inches deep, these sun-heated wading pools are perfect for dipping your feet or young explorers not ready for the deep end. You can find wading pools at these parks:
