Chez Christophe Turns 10: Celebrating a Decade of Deliciousness

A decade ago, Chez Christophe, a pastry shop owned by Christophe Bonzon and his wife Jessica, opened its doors on the north side of Hastings in the Burnaby Heights area. Over the years, the couple’s passion and hard work have resulted in numerous achievements, including the launch of their second location in White Rock, B.C., in 2019. Chez Christophe offers a delightful blend of traditional Swiss desserts and pastries infused with contemporary flavors and locally sourced ingredients. Their menu features an assortment of delectable baked goods, including cakes, pastries, artisan chocolates, macarons, and signature chocolate bars, complemented by a full coffee bar.

Recently, Chez Christophe celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of unparalleled dedication and commitment by its co-founder, Christophe Bonzon. To commemorate this remarkable milestone, the shop unveiled a limited-edition collection of chocolates and pastries that will be released throughout the year. Additionally, a public celebration was held at both of their locations on Friday, April 28th. Chez Christophe’s 10th anniversary is a testament to the unwavering passion and artistry that the Bonzons bring to their craft, making them one of the most beloved pastry shops in Burnaby and beyond.

Their new items include:

• Limited Edition Dragee – Black & Gold: Corn puffs coated in 83% dark & 35% caramelized white chocolate
• Limited Edition Dragee – Tri-colour: Corn puffs coated in 42% milk & 33% ruby chocolate.

Chez Christophe has partnered with B.C. Bee to create local chocolate-infused honey with their signature 63.6% Montreux blend. On the day of their in-store celebration, customers will receive a complimentary treat upon arrival (while supplies last). There will also be prizes randomly awarded throughout the day to customers as their appreciation of the support they have received in the last 10 years. In addition, they will be running a special promotion on April 27^th and 28^th in-store; any customer who spends a minimum of $50 will receive an additional $10 e-gift card on them. For those who are not able to visit them in person, they will also be offering this special promotion on their online store.
