Looking to do some travel adventures on two wheels? Burnaby is the perfect destination to do so! From urban trails to the mountain wilderness, there is a biking experience for every skill level.

If you are looking for an amazing urban bike ride, Burnaby is covered, literally. The city has many different urban trails, bikeways and bike lanes to get you North to South or East to West.  We recommend the Central Valley Greenway or Trans-Canada trail.  View the bike map here.

If you’d rather bike in more rugged terrain, there are many trails to discover on Burnaby Mountain.  BYOB (bring your own bike, that is), and choose a trail from beginner to advance.  For those looking for an easier ride, we recommend the Powerline Trail.  For those wanting more of a challenge check out Nicole’s trial.  View the trail map here.

For young and old who want to work on their bike skills, you need to visit Burnaby Mountain Bike Skills Park.  This is the world’s largest outdoor wood pump track that is free to the public.  For beginner riders, the beginner area is low to the ground without many obstacles. More advanced riders will enjoy some of the more challenging aspects, including the Baia Balance Box and the Curved Wall Ride. View the park map here.

Finally, for bike racing enthusiasts, check out Burnaby Velodrome.  This track cycling venue is the only indoor velodrome in the Pacific Northwest, and one of three in Canada. Visit their website for more information on programs and races.
