5KM MONSTER DASH
Calling all brave souls and daring spirits! Join us for Burnaby’s first-ever Halloween-themed race, the Monster Dash 5km! This spine-chilling event is set to take place on Sunday, October 29th in Burnaby, BC, and costumes are highly encouraged. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a frightfully good time, the Monster Dash is the perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit. But beware, this race is not for the faint of heart!

BURNABY HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL EVENT GRANTS
We will be launching a grant program for 2023, a new funding stream to provide financial support to those interested in being part of the second annual month-long festival with a flair to scare. The grant program offers financial support for approved activations and features three categories: Major Event Grants, Special Category Grants, and Community Activation Grants. Applications will be opening soon, so stay tuned for more information on how to apply.

RESIDENTIAL DECORATING CONTEST + GRANT
Attention all Burnaby residents! The second annual Neighbourhood Decorating Contest is back for 2023 and open to all Burnaby residents who want to create an original, show-stopping display and decorate their houses to delight with fright. And the best part? You could win a cash prize and neighbourhood bragging rights! Plus, this year, we’re offering grants up to $350 to help offset the costs of decorations, stay tuned for more information.
