Aganetha Dyck is one of Canada’s most renowned female artists and winner of the 2007 Governor General’s Award in Visual Arts. Often collaborating with bees, this exhibition will include works from the Hive Scans series, as well as elements from the brail collaborations between the bees and herself.
Born in Winnipeg, Aganetha Dyck’s work explores notions of feminism, surrealism, and what she has called “the power of the small.” She will give a talk as part of her exhibition which showcases some of the artist’s work as it relates to communication, between humans, and between bees.
