The Scandinavian Centre
In the heart of Burnaby the Scandinavian Community Centre opened its doors to the world and converted itself into the Scandinavian House for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Guests enjoyed food, drinks and of course Olympic event screenings while mingling with those from Scandinavia and around the world. With the combined Banquet Hall which seats 160 and the Fireside lounge wish seats another 60, the Scandinavian Centre created a home away from home for Scandinavians. While the Scandinavian Centre often hosts its own public events, the facility is available to rent for private functions, meetings and events.
